[Early Sunday Play] Let's Play Crossy Road, and.. wait more on Sunday!

Hey, it's still Saturday, even still Friday on several countries.. may be. However after vacuum for a long time... almost one month with no post T_T, sorry for that. I have several iOS recommendation to be played for you on this weekend. Since it hasn't Sunday yet I'll reveal one game only for today. What is that? Well, I believe some of you have already try this out and like me you can't stop playing once you try the game. Am I right? :p Crossy Road Crossy Road is a simple endless hopper game but it's really really addictive. If you ever played Frogger before, this game has a similar gameplay. Basically your character, first you'll get the chicken will try to cross the road. Your mission here is to help it passes the road safely and collecting the golden coins. Watch out for the cars, train, eagle, trucks, and the most hard one while you need to cross the river. Since the logs are moving along the river you need to keep your steps properly. Think fast, act

FRAMED Review - A Game Is An Experience Not The Time

Image
Framed is one of my anticipated games during 2014 and finally the wait is over. When the game popped out on the App Store last week, I got pretty excited and can't wait to try that game. Unfortunately, the exam week forbid me to write my impression as soon as possible here but I believe many of you already try that game. So for you who still on fence looking for some 'more' reasons to try the game or not, let me tell you the reasons why you shouldn't miss this game. iOS Games costs pretty cheap and nobody can deny that. Each week so many one buck games along with freemium games. That's why when a new game come with quite 'high' price (more than a buck), some of you might think why should I try this game? is that worth? Framed is a game that costs $4.99 but to be honest you can't measure the worthiness of the game from one aspect only, especially the playtime. I read some reviews on the App Store said if this game wasn't worthy enough for that pric

[Opinion] How Much Actually A Mobile Game Should Be Priced?

Image
I know this question may sounds weird and unimportant for some people. However, sometimes I'm wondering what's on your mind when you buying a mobile game. Do you always compare the playtime/ quality/ other thing with the money that you spent on it? Or you just let it go and feels like a little way to support indie developer? May be yes, may be no. So actually how much does a mobile game should be cost? Here is my opinion about how much a mobile game (iOS/ Android) should be priced. First, let's see how much in average a PC game cost.. Five until ten dollars. Then, see how much a mobile game cost in average... one until two dollars. Actually I don't see any difference why the mobile games are being so cheap in price? I believe the development cost may cheaper than a PC game did, but while we talk about effort, doesn't it feel same? The value (not money) but the game's soul, the heart which given by the developer on it. However, still most of mobile user t

[iOS Playlist] Dodo Master Walkthrough

Image
Hi, just a quick post from me. First, happy birthday to me... yey :p! Second, I'm making walkthrough videos for an iOS platformer game called Dodo Master. Dodo Master is a fun brutal platformer game I ever played on iOS. The control is really precise, the graphic is beautiful, and of course the gameplay itself is really cool. I'm bit lazy today to write down the review here, but you can read my contribution review on Games In Asia Indonesia by clicking this link . Sorry, it's on Indonesian language only. However, to make it brief, Dodo Master is a recommended platformer game for iOS platform. It might be hard to be enjoyed at first but once you mastered it, it becomes so fun and enjoyable enough to be one of the greatest platformer on iOS platform. Check my walkthrough videos below or click this link if there's any problem with the videos. Ps: It's completed yet, only 7 out of 20 videos so far. Just wait for it, okay! :)

Epocu - A Great Way for Supporting Indie Games

Image
No credit card? Check, No PayPal? Check, No money? Check. Uh... this is so bad, I really want to help a game in KS/ IndieGogo but I don't have those kind of things. What should I do for helping them? Well, I just found Epocu accidentaly while browsing over the internet. Then I found this site is really interesting and helpful for supporting indie developers. Unlike KS or Indiegogo or other similar thing, Epocu is free way to hype upcoming games and test new games concept. How Does It Works? In Epocu you can start your own game campaign. However, only game concept and upcoming games which eligible to start a new campaign. In fact, if your game still in alpha/ beta phase, they're valid too. The best thing you can make as many campaign as you like, but remember be responsible! Epocu will allow you to share your game concept for free, if we (as supporter) loves your game concept, we can use the social button to share about your game campaign. The post will be shared onc

Image
Okay, I'm kinda busy with all this messes. So sorry no post lately. There're several problems happened on me. My friend made me so worry all in sudden and I can't do anything to help him. My grandma felt so weak after her eyes got the second surgery, she keeps complain everyday. Alright, sorry for the intermezzo. So here my Sunday Playlist, drum roll... PC games... yes.. yes.. I'm moving on from mobile to PC... so #sing: 'So call me, call me, call me..miss moving on.... ooo..ooo..oo.. ' stop it.. I just kidding... No way, I'm loyal enough with my iPad... :p Fly'n This is not a new game, but I just try it out after bought this on STEAM Sale last summer. At first I played this game using keyboard as controller but it's not comfortable enough IMO to play this kind of game on laptop. So I decided to bought a game controller to play this game. Since I can't find any suitable single controller, I grabbed the twin  one instead of the single one. Fl

[Indie Talk] moWOW Studio - Make Fun Games With iOS

Image
Indie Gems has new feature article right now. We like to talk with indie developers. Our first guest is moWOW Studio, Germany based indie developer and here is my interview between Alex, one of moWOW founder. moWOW Studio has been founded by Tudor and Alex since 2011. So far, they've made 2 games for iOS platform. Check the full interview below :) Hi, my name is Yesi and would you mind if I do a short interview with you? Could you tell us more about your company? How many person on it? When and how was it founded? Hi Yesi. It would be my pleasure. It's just me and Tudor right now. We founded moWOW studios in 2011 with the main goal to make fun games for iOS. I played your game, The Way Home . Is that your first game? No, it isn't. Then, how many games have you made so far? Are they built for iOS only or also other platform too? The Way Home is our second game. The first is  Clumsy And The Stars , a precision physics ga me. In a way, the theme and

Fish & Shark Short Review - Endless 'Runner' is Doing Right Once Again

Image
You might surprised with the guys behind this game. Odenis Studio has been experienced in nintendo Gaming world since 2007, before they decided to expand their work into iOS platform now. Their first iOS game has been released since July 25 which was came as a free endless swimmer game, yes a free game without IAP. So what's make this different with other endless game, beside the swimming part of course. Though, to be honest there're already several endless swimmer too outside there. I won't say if they use a pretty fresh new concept in this game. It just an endless swimmer game, but as long as I play iOS games, I haven't met any interesting endless 'runner' game again, after the Temple Run 2 era. However, in my opinion this game has enough 'power' to attract gamers for playing it, at least to try it once. Fish & Shark will let you choose to play as a good fish or bad shark. Actually, the good fish is like an easy or may be normal mode in th

[Opinion] Female Gamer?

Image
It might be funny when I talk about this topic, but seriously I'm feeling bad with this kind of label as a gamer. If you take a look into wikipedia or search about 'female gamer' on google, the result comes with; girl gamer was such kind of sex material only. Even there's a difference between girl gamer with gamer girl, which to be true, I don't see any necessary for doing that. I won't post any pictures of that, you can search it by yourself. In fact, I also read if so many people said gaming world needs more women, but what should we do if we're just 'used' as 'sexism symbol' only. Do we want for that? Of course, Not. To make it brief, there're 2 different type of  female gamers in this world in my opinion. First, the one who actually play games. Second, the one who only act as a gamer and feeling great because of that. via Herbalcell So, you're asking how about me? I'm playing games, because I like them, I won't say..

[Bulk Review] Super Ccatch, Farting Felix, HexSweep, Alphabeats, and The Day of The Totem

Image
I'm so sorry, folks, because no posting since the last month. Well, I was so busy with exams and school projects last month. However, It's so disturbing me when a great game doesn't get enough attention from audience. That's why today I decided to make bulk review (only) from now. It'll come as short review for 5 games or so on in one post only. Why? Because, it's easier for me to recommend you more best indie games in once post. To be honest, it'll took a long time for me, if I should make full review for each game one by one. I don't have enough time for doing that... At least for this time. If I have enough time, sure I'll work with full review, but right now, let it go like that. I wish you can understand. Thank you :). Super Ccatch by Eduard Anton At glance this game reminds me with Intake game . To be honest, it's bit similar, but just a bit. Super Ccatch has more simple gameplay rather than Intake. You should change the color on Intak

Intake: Be Aggressive Short Review - Seriously Addictive as Drug

Image
Intake is one of the game that declare to be aggressive, at first I might asking myself. Who should become the aggressive one? Us (as players) or the game itself? One more, the game also called itself as a shmup game but I don't think it's suitable, well... at least for the first time playing. Intake is a fast paced arcade 'tap tap' game. Yes, it's more like a tap tap game rather than a shmup game. It can be a shmup game too, but later after you unlocked the special mode. Be Aggressive Fortunately, being a tap tap game isn't a bad thing for Intake game. Actually, it's more enjoyable than a usual rhythm tap tap game. In this game, you must tap all the pills which has the same color with your color power. You can change your color power by tapping color bar in the bottom of the screen. As you can see, there's an indicator on the top of the screen which showing the remaining pills which you should tap in each level. Everytime you tap the right pills, yo
